SANJIANG University visit - September 2002 |
|
On September 4 & 5, 2002, we had the very great pleasure and honour to welcome to Quimper representatives of Sanjiang University, Nanjing, China:
Tao Yong-De, President
Husheng Feng, Vice-President
Keming Huang, Director of International Affairs
The purpose of the visit was to sign a cooperation and exchange partnership between our two institutions, but as always it was the personal contact that was particularly rewarding. The discussions were particularly warm and positive, and we look forward to the next steps in our cooperation.
Our visitors had little time in their busy schedule, but were able to see Quimper town centre, Benodet and the ISUGA campus. In addition, and not least, we enjoyed two very sociable meals together at Quimper's 'China Town' restaurant and at the more traditional French 'Les Acacias' near the school.
We separated with promises of a return visit by one from the ISUGA Management in November and the first student exchanges look set to take place in 2003/2004.
