ISUGA's partner in Taiwan is the famous National Sun Yat-Sen University in Kaohsiung, and in 2001 for the first time five of our students spent the first semester of their second year at the NSYSU campus. They studied a variety of business, cultural and geopolitical topics as well as taking intensive lessons in Chinese.
In November I went to visit them and meet the university team responsible for organizing the exchange. Both the university staff and the students gave me a great reception.
By lucky coincidence, the university was celebrating its 21st year anniversary that very weekend, and I was able to see at close hand the charming, friendly and spontaneous people of Kaohsiung enjoying themselves.
Taiwan is a beautiful country and reminds of South Korea ....... (C. Snuggs)
